In his letter to the church in Corinth Paul famously states that there are three things that remain. Three things that outlast all others. Three things that are of supreme importance.

The word church has become a generic description of a subsect, of a subsect, of a religion. It was meant to be more than that. Church is descriptive not of a location but a people. Not of a brand but a mission.

Jesus is regularly seen sharing a meal with people. The food on the table is often irrelevant, but the conversation at the table and the people gathered around it teach us some important lessons about the sustenance God offers us.

As followers of Jesus we are always growing and maturing as disciples. With the new year comes an opportunity for us to identify some of the factors that may be hindering us in those efforts.
