Jesus does some things that are literally out of this world, but what’s the message for us?

Jesus asks a vital question to His disciples. It is the same question He puts to each one of us.

Any conversation about what we are called to, must always begin with who we are called by. Therefore we begin our new series by examining the loving and gracious nature of God, for it is the context out of which everything that follows will come.

God calls us to constantly grow, to advance, to mature. If I am not progressing, day by day, year by year, in my relationship with God and in each of the areas discussed in previous weeks, I have to a significant degree missed the call.

A healthy sense of fear can warn us of danger and keep us safe, but many people like in a perpetual state of worry, constantly stressed by thoughts of “What if ….” The resulting anxiety, if left unchecked, can leave us virtually paralyzed in life. God desires something so much better for us: Peace

In response to the Jews reference to Moses and manna, Jesus declares “I am the Bread of Life” and in doing so promises to nourish and sustain all his followers by providing for all their spiritual needs.
