These stories show us the intensity with which God searches for those who are lost and be invite us to join into that search ourselves.

Parable of the Good Samaritan

What would you do if you were called to account for all you had been given?  How would the Master view your handling of the goods He entrusted to you?

The parable of the sower not only teaches us about other people’s response to the Good News, but it may teach us a little something about ourselves too.

The Parable of the Great Banquet reveals to us the nature of God’s heart and invites us to join His celebration!

The Parable of the Minas

Joseph and his brothers had a rocky relationship from day one.  There was a distinct lack of sensitivity, compassion and kindness on both sides.  After both groups complete a long journey they find themselves face to face with each other and their need to forgive and be forgiven.

The angel told Joseph that Mary’s child would be called Immanuel, which means “God with us”. A look at the Old Testament text this name is drawn out of gives us a whole new appreciation of the depth of what Immanuel really means.

Jesus is revealed for who he really is, which is not at all who people expected him to be
