Gideon’s question is often our own: “Please don’t take this wrong, but if the LORD is helping us, then why have all of these awful things happened?”  (Jud.6:13 CEV)  The Lord does reign, even in the midst of chaos.

Our lives are filled with hundreds of very ordinary moments, interrupted occasionally by something extraordinary (sometimes good, sometimes not). God works powerfully, albeit quite differently, in both the ordinary moments and the extraordinary ones.
