Life & Ministry Centre

Our Purpose Our Strategy

It is our desire, as followers of Jesus, to be a growing and vibrant community of faith where searching hearts can draw closer to God through the fellowship of believers who seek to walk in the shadow of the cross. We intentionally strive to be a God centred, united and evangelistic community of faith.

Our God centred focus is considered to be top priority because it is only in Him and through Him that our lives can be changed or that our ministries can be successful. The longest prayer of Jesus was for the unity of His followers. We are convinced that without such unity our congregation cannot be healthy and our witness to a lost world will be impotent. Through the joy we have received in Christ and because God desires that all people be saved we pledge ourselves to be His ambassadors in a world of darkness.

We know we are moving toward these goals when spiritual growth is evident among our members, when believers are devoted to one another and when lost people are coming to Jesus for cleansing and healing.

1. God centredness:

  • Through personal spiritual growth that involves daily prayer, Bible study and meditation
  • Through openness to the leading of the Spirit and genuine submission to the Lordship of Jesus
  • Through periods of collective worship, prayer and fasting
  • Through discipleship training and mentoring
  • Through small group nurturing and encouragement
2. Unity:
  • Through involvement in the lives of one another
  • Through mutual submission that places the spiritual well being of others ahead of self interest
  • Through acceptance of others who hold different views on matters of opinion
  • Through fellowship activities and ministry opportunities
  • Through dialogue, discussion and searching the scriptures for answers to differences
3. Evangelism:
  • Through active involvement in our neighborhoods and community
  • Through building relationships with non-churched people
  • Through personal invitations to worship services and activities of the Church
  • Through outreach ministries and special, "need based" seminars and workshops
  • Through service activities and ministries in the community
